My St. Patrick's Day Doesn't Look Like It

My Biblical calendar reminded me that yesterday (17 March) was the commemoration of St. Patrick. I couldn't celebrate it for many distractions pulled at me. However, I decided to keep it today (18 March). With my morning prayers I read the short biography of St. Patrick. I came to know about the saint during my school days and still love and honour him. He is known to be the saint protector against snakes. We need such a protector badly here. It's the time of snakes in our country. Many lose their lives to snake bite , especially in the rural areas. We find quite many poisonous snakes around us too. We nearly lost a boy from our foster home some years ago. We repeatedly remind our children to avoid areas where these creepers are likely to slither. I wish A Happy St. Patrick's Day to all who are celebrating it.

St Patrick banished the snakes from Ireland, didn't he? I'm not sure what use snakes are in the world - or cockroaches really. lol

I used to drink...a lot to celebrate. I'll be honest. Now I like the history and the stories. I've been a huge Irish fan for quite a few years now. I've even made a few Saint Patrick's Day items. I have a prayer on a hoodie and on a shirt then the traditional clovers and things like that on other items.
