New gmail address and google play store not working so, can't downloading the apps:/

But it's ok now. I disabled the app, erased my old storage, clicked reset for my mobile phone and thanfully, it was good. But, yes, gmail address is connected to everything, it seems and getting rid of an old address isn't that easy. Hopefully, not fooling around with this anymore. Any similar technical difficulties, mylotters?

Happy that it is sorted out. Technical glitches annoy me as I am not able to make sense of them. So, whenever any comes my way I rush to my husband or my elder daughter for help. I am least bothered to even learn how to resolve it.

thank you. i feel the same, annoys me a lot and i wish i have daughter like you to ask; my mum isn't t pro like me. i am just glad it was simple. if it wasn't, i would leave it

You should have backed up everything before resetting. Do you have data? I hope you got a solution for this.

@grenery8 no. But I had difficulties recovering my many photos that used to be in my phone. I also have never remembered the password to my first Gmail account and now it is more than ten years later.

@mildredtabitha did you recover your photos in the phone? i now i tried once and i couldn't do it cause i fully deleted them. passwords are a hassle

yes, changing email id or password is a hassle...you have to go and update it everywhere

i thought it was only gmail and then it turned out it was all connected to one account. what a hassle indeed. and for several times until i've handled this. no pain, no gain
