Went to the dentist yesterday. It was a routine cleaning. I have to do it every four months because of the black stains on my teeth.
The walk to the bus from my house takes about twenty minutes. The bus ride is a little less than thirty minutes one way, which is not bad. The bad part is waiting for at least half an hour for the damn bus to arrive. That’s what happened to me. Granted I probably left the house earlier than I should have but still. It’s crazy to wait that long for a bus. And it came later than it should’ve arrived. At least going home was better. The bus came a few minutes after I left the dental office, which was great.
While at the dental office for my cleaning they also took x-rays of my teeth as a year had already passed since the last ones were taken. And the dentist stopped by to see me as well. She spend no more than a few minutes with me. If I’m not mistaken I was charged $125 for her visit.
She didn’t even look inside my mouth. Not even sure if she looked at the x-rays either. She just talked to me about my stains and recommended I use an electric toothbrush as that may help with the stains.
Before I left I had to pay $250. I wonder how much insurance will reimburse me. When I just do the cleaning I pay $125. Don’t remember how much the reimbursement is for that.

Do you have to pay out of pocket?

@TheHorse That sucks! Guess you have no choice if you want to keep going to the same dentist.

Glad you teeth are fine. The prices you paid I can tell you I would not have had the money,

I hope I’ll get reimbursed a good amount.
