One day to Spring

And the day is starting out warm and sunny and I'm watching a couple birds out my window doing what I'm assuming the mating dance. "He" sneaks up to "her" and "she flies away, but not too far. Then "he" sneaks up to "her" again, and "she" flies off again... rinse and repeat. I don't know if that's really what's happening but I'm letting my imagination run away with me.

Aren't they cute when they're finding their mate for the spring? This spring is a rough one in my area. I don't remember a spring with so much wind. It's really blowing outside today and then we're supposed to get freezing rain and snow by this evening and overnight. It's not even 10 am here and we're already at our high for today. (62F/17C)

19°C/67°F at 11:50 am... supposed to rise to 24°/75°F and only get down to 12°/54° overnight.

@BarBaraPrz You are so lucky! I want your weather today. That's the temps we had here yesterday and last night.

@DaddyEvil Well, you can't have them. I intend to fully enjoy them, just as soon as I poop.

We have that happening in our garden too. Peafowls are all too obvious

Ahh yes, the catch me if you can birdy dance ...... sometimes the males fight over territory, that's what the mourning doves do then when one has establishes his territory they wait for an unsuspecting female to wander in and the dance begins, I feel sorry for those males because all too often she is not impressed and flies off.

Yeah, nothing impressive about a guy who's always moaning...

That sounds like a mating ritual. Come on, come on, come on - get away, get away, get away.

I would also assume that those birds are doing the mating dance too. We have a springlike day here today but the next few days will be back to the roller coaster temperatures.

Sounds about right to me. A little birds and bees is fun in Spring.
