My builder is a devout Muslim and his wife and children are quite respectful to us. We decided to give them a ramzan gift.
I bought five different kinds of Bengali sweets , eight samosas and a 2 litre bottle of Sprite ( a carbonated cold drink) and went to visit them in the evening.
They were just beginning to break their daily fast. They offered me a plateful of fruits. I never eat so many fruits at a time but for courtesy sake I couldn't refuse the plate. I also had to eat a samosa and drink a tumbler of the cold drink.
When I was returning home my belly was saying," I'm full. I can't take any supper!"
"O.K." said I. I knew the belly was really full.

I'm sure they appreciated the gifts. We sometimes miss a meal if we've eaten too many snacks or whatever beforehand.

I'm sure they enjoyed the things you provided. And I'd be full after that much food, too.
