I have been reading all week that we could possibly get snow today. One site even specifically said it would snow for four hours.
We have had weather in the 70's for several days, but right now it is 33 and windy. There is a very fine mist being blown by that nasty wind. I feel cold.
Even in the house I am wearing several layers, because my office is the coldest room in the house.
It will be nicer again starting tomorrow. That is a good thing, because the day after tomorrow we are spending the day celebrating our anniversary.

We've dropped from 62F down to 49F now. And the forecast is calling for us to get freezing rain and snow this evening/overnight. But that wind just won't quit!
I'm still in bed under covers, the house is set at 70F and I'm still chilly. (I'm also running a light fever and have been throwing up this morning.) I hope I go back to sleep soon. I'm tired.
I hope you guys have a good day.

I keep bundling up when I feel too cold. I hope you are getting better. We have 32 with light rain. And of course the wind.

@GardenGerty I stay in bed when I get cold and pull another blanket over me. My bedroom was at 68F when Pretty woke me up to sign her phone. I told her I was freezing under my covers. She said she's "comfortable". I went in and turned the heat up to 70F again. She'll just have to live with it. She never would have let the house get that chilly before. I think she's the one having a problem. She thinks I'm taking too much Methimazole for my thyroid... We shall see. I have the appointment with the different thyroid doctor on Tuesday for the SSDI people.
It's 35F and has been raining/storming off and on all day with the wind gusting up to 40 mph. I keep hearing the storm windows rattling all the time.
I was awake for two hours around noon and then went back to sleep. I'm still feeling sleepy but don't have a fever anymore.

@DaddyEvil One of my younger coworkers has been dealing with thyroid issues since she was elementary age. First she has too much medicine, then not enough. Her numbers are too high, then too low. She catches everything that comes around and stays sick a lot. I miss her when she is not at work. I hope you do not get sick.Glad your fever seems to have passed.

So far it has been just a bit of a mist, blown around by that cold wind.

@kaylachan It did, but not enough to stick. I am glad it is not heavier, and not ice.

@AmbiePam Bob had done so earlier. I am glad they put the mat on it. That is actually a mat supposedly for my cat's food and water but it just did not work well for that. I needed a door mat, so there it is. I will probably paint something else on it next time the weather is dry.

A friend of mine in Alabama posted a meme today, it said, āIām ready for the day! I have my flip-flops, shorts, winter coat, snow boots, and the key to my tornado shelter!ā

Basically, it's the same thing here. Big winds, tornado watches/warnings, maybe snow or sleet in the night. And you are correct, the wind makes a person feel a lot colder. I always worry that we will lose power, but I can't fix that....take good care, Heather.

Worrying does not fix much of anything. We do not lose power as often as we might think, and I am glad. We have a gas cook stove, and would be able to cook even without power. Our heat is gas, but the blower is electric of course. I feel sorry for people who do not have shelter.

I always hurt for those who don't have shelter, no matter what the weather. ''But for the grace of God go I''...we never know what life will bring.
We don't lose our power often, but when we do it's usually because of terrible winds taking out trees, etc. outside of town--my area has the lines all underground, but of course they are connected to places that don't have that.

It tried to rain about half an hour ago and the temp's dropped a degree but still no where near returning to winter, after our one day of summer yesterday.

Here in Finland, where I live, we haven't had proper winters in years. When I was a kid, there was always cold (coldest I know was -37 C) and lots of snow. Now we hardly have snow and temperature hardly never goes below 10. Something is changing.

It is the same everywhere. We had more snow this winter than we have in a long time.
