You guys might remember my 13 year old niece, Amyra, is an artist. This is her most recent work. It’s the Disney Princess, Aurora, from “Sleeping Beauty”. Not a lot of kids dress up as Aurora, do they.

Thank you, Marie. Yes, she did. She’s taking a break from competition this year, but in the past couple of years she had entered and won a few. I think it’s a good thing she’s taking a break.

@AmbiePam I love freehand art, done from talent and the heart. It appears she has both those qualities, and she will go far in whatever she chooses to do!

She seems very talented. Why type of art does she think she might want to do when she's grown up? Wouldn't it be exciting if she had a show one day?

It sure would be. I think she plans to be a graphic artist, although I’m not sure if that’s her idea, or what she’s being steered to.

@AmbiePam Friend's brother worked as a graphic artist for a number of years. Now he writes books, and has done quite well.

She really does have some talent in this area. The shadows and shading are very well done - not that I know much about it.

Aurora is not exactly a Disney character that is well known compared to other princesses like Ariel or Jasmine. Great artwork.
