So, this apartment I saw today to me was absurd. !800 a month and you can't open any of the drawers in the kitchen. I don't know about you, but I would be lost without kitchen drawers. I am tempted to mark unreasonable I can't believe they are charging that much rent, but I think I will go with dissatisfied looking for a new place to live. I know rents are high, but for that money you expect something decent. I would exchange the private bathroom for drawers that open in the kitchen..

That’s insane. It’s like so many landlords just don’t care what shape anything is in.

These big complexes are all just focused on the bottom line, but at least MOST places that charge that much are decent.

I think it would only appeal to those who don't really cook. The other thing was it had an old fashioned stove in the jutchen..the kind I don't like with the old fashioned burners and bibs

@rakski They had a fairly large pantry..but really it was a pretty barebones kitchen other than that.

@snowy22315 but even if you do not cook, where are you going to put things at the kitchen

That’s nuts, especially for that kind of money. I have one kitchen drawer that doesn’t open, but it’s just one so it doesn’t bother me too much. I wonder what happened but I know it used to open because it was wobbly when I first moved in. I asked maintenance to fix it, but when I came home that day it was permanently stuck. But for $1,800 a month I’d be very upset if they didn’t open.

@AmbiePam It was all I could do to keep from smirking when she asked if I wanted to apply.

These aren't designed to open. I am not sure who would find that acceptable unless they never cook or something

Are you on an apartment hunt? What's wrong with the one you are living in?

How can anyone possibly use the kitchen without access to the drawers. Seems absurd at any rent

I think quite obviously these are designed for people who don't do much cooking. I mean you could store something's in the pantry I guess .but seems very odd

@Marilynda1225 I guess you'd have to get a holder and put it in one of the cupboards or the pantry.

@snowy22315 even if you don't do much cooking where would you put things like silverware?

These are not designed to open. Unless you never cooked, I don't see why anyone would want something like that. There isn't a landlord per se It is just a management company that owns these

@JudyEv I ave vanities that came with the house. In the guest bathroom the drawers open, but in mine they don't.. No, I don't like it, but there is a big storage pantry. The apartment at least had something similar.

@snowy22315 Really?? so just sort of decorative. Seems a real waste of space, as they say.

Rent is so horribly high now everywhere, but any amount should include kitchen drawers!
