Belen New Mexico firefighter Christopher Martinez was at his fire station on February 6 2024 when he saw an infant who was dropped off at baby box.
Christopher contacted his wife Janae to tell her the good news that he and his wife had a chance to adopt a male infant to join their family.
13 months later, the infant was adopted by the couple and given the name Mikel Martinez since Janae could not have children of her own.
Thanks to Safe Haven Baby Box program, a baby was given a new home.

it is a wonderful idea for children to find a home with propagate parents who need to have children.

That is a nice story, how one questionable act led to a good outcome for the baby, who might just grow up to become a firefighter, given his beginning like that.

Wow, that’s such a beautiful story! It’s incredible how everything aligned for Christopher and Janae to welcome baby Mikel into their family. :) The Safe Haven Baby Box program truly changes lives—not just for the babies but for the families who open their hearts to them. Wishing them all the love and happiness in the world!
