Mylotter friends, I have a bittersweet update to share with you. I found out this afternoon, when I had my job development meeting by phone with Danielle, that her boss is switching me over to another job coach at Hattie Larlham. So next week, it will be the last week I'll be working with Danielle after two years and eight months. I feel sad about it. I wish it didn't have to end this way. If it was from a job offer, or if my new revised Benefit Analysis report states I can't work with the new money, then it would be less painful. This afternoon was our last phone session, and next week, it'll be the final team with Teams with my new job coach Lauri, starting in April. She told me, that Lauri is more experienced at Hattie Larlham, is a fresh pair of eyes to help me with my job search, and is more resourceful since she knows more people, and able to take me to interviews. Danielle has been job coaching with one of her client in mornings, and will be working with clients who are struggling and less dependent with their job search.
Like after I finished onboarding with Goodwill, two years ago next month, my communications will be work-related via text: cart counts (formerly bin counts), cross-training, resignation letter when I quit iand/pr, and if I land a new job when I'm offered to give her closure. I'll also inform her what Carole says about my new BA report in April. No more emails and phone calls after tomorrow. Everything will be forwarded to Lauri too. I know change will do me good. But I didn't want or wish it to be this way. A week from tomorrow in my final job tracker email, (which will be forwarded to Lauri), I'll type her a thank you message. I'll give Lauri the benefit of the doubt. But it stings and hurts this way. And I'm sure I'll give you all an update on how my first meeting goes with Lauri in two weeks.

Oh, that's a tough situation! It's understandable that you're feeling sad – it sounds like you had a really good working relationship with Danielle. But it's also good that they're pairing you with someone more experienced who might be able to help you find a job even faster. Try to focus on the positive aspects of the change, even though it's hard right now. I'm sure you'll do great with Lauri!
