I've been down town shopping again today. Me and my Mum both went to bed late last night, and so Mum got up late this morning, so she didn't go to the house group that meets at Church due to not having enough time to get ready. She didn't write me a shopping list because she only wanted a few usual things from Iceland and I said I could remember that, but she also wanted Hunter's Chicken, so I said I could remember that too. I set off at about 11:00am. As I was on my way to town I saw Lesley, the daughter of Lilian who was my Mum's best friend, so she said Hello and asked how my Mum was. Then I went round Stowe Pool on the top path again. I went to the toilet by the Cathedral, and then went to the photo expert shop. I was only going for a photocopy today. When she'd done the photocopy she said I could have that today. I said, Oh, are you sure? and she said, yeah, so I said thank you. So I went out of there with a free photocopy. Then I went to WH Smith. The automatic doors still weren't working. I got a BBC Music magazine from there an went and payed for it with an actual person! It was £7.99. My Mum didn't want anything from Tesco today, and I decided I wouldn't go to the Oxfam bookshop today. I thought and wait and see how much change I had before I went in there again. So I headed off towards Iceland (the shop not the country!) Opposite Iceland is the pub we used to go to. It closed down and was then turned into the Eden Wine Bar. Then that closed down, and now apparently it's going to be The Dirty Cow Bar and Lounge. Anyway, I went into Iceland and got a Chinese Style Chicken curry for Syd, a Sweet and Sour chicken for my Mum, a paella and the Hunter's Chicken that Mum wanted. Then I treated myself to an areo. I payed for that and then I set off for home, via the toilet by the Cathedral. It was quite a nice day, but there was a bit of a breeze on the way home by Stowe Pool. I got home, gave my Mum her change, and unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my lunch and a cup of camomile tea and watched some telly. What are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

Sounds like a good mix of errands and little moments that make the day interesting! Gotta love when a shop gives you a freebie—feels like a small victory. The Dirty Cow Bar and Lounge definitely has a name that catches attention! Hope the Hunter’s Chicken was worth remembering. I’m just getting through some tasks today, maybe sneaking in a break with a good book or a show. What’s on your watchlist?

@sharonelton That's a great story! Free photocopies are always a win. And hey, even if you don't love the name, it sounds like your mum and Syd will appreciate the cake! Glad you're finding some good TV to unwind with – "Wynne and Joanna" sounds like a perfect cozy night in show.

@sw8sincere Thank you very much. Yes, they are. The cake? Will the Dirty Cow Bar and Lounge be serving cake? Yes, it is. I really love it. Wynne and Joanna are very funny, and so is Wynne's little doggy Ginny. It's a very feel good show, and you see a bit of the coast of Wales too. It's a win win. Or a Wynne Wynne!

Thank you, yes, they do. Yes, I did feel a bit chuffed when the lady said I could have the photocopy for free. You could say that, but I don't think I like the name! Well, it's my Mum and Syd that are gonna eat it, not me! I hope you managed to get through all your tasks. I've been watching Wynne and Joanna: All at Sea on the BBC iPlayer EVERY NIGHT!

We sent the car for an MOT test; it passed and everything was fine, but then when I went to pick it up it wouldn't start! Nobody knew why because they gave it a test drive just a few minutes before. So now it's still at the garage and they haven't figured out what's wrong yet!

@sharonelton I know! And of course these things always seem to happen on a Friday afternoon, and they're not open at the weekend! Luckily we don't need to go anywhere we can't cycle to!

@Fleura That's very inconvenient! I'm glad you don't have to go anywhere you can't cycle to. I don't have to go anywhere I can't walk to.

Wow you found a real member of staff at W H Smiths! Honestly those shops are like ghost shops whenever I go there!

@sharonelton I think I read recently that W H Smiths will be closing all their high street shops. Well I'm not surprised; the way they are at the moment I think they've really lost their way

Yeah, I did. But she was having a bit of trouble with the computer. It didn't seem to want to work. And somebody wanted to know if they'd got a copy of Rolling Stone Magazine and she didn't seem to know what it was!
