Many years ago, I took guitar lessons at our local community college. I had dreams of being a country music singer and wanted to be able to play a guitar. Well, it didn't take long to realize that I just wanted to be a guitar player, but didn't want to put in all the time and hard work to actually play the instrument. Around that time, I wrote some country music songs, our little band won a few talent shows, and had fun. This was a song I wrote as an exercise for my music class: THE TURTL AND THE FROG There once was a turtle, cute as could be But he loved a frog, and just couldn't see Why she hopped on every lily pad in town He said, "You're too fast, why don't we settle down?" Then frog said to turtle, "This won't work at all. Cause I like to hop and you like to crawl. Find some turtle girl to treat you just right. You're too slow for me." and she hopped out of sight. So if you're a turtle and you love a frog Don't worry 'bout hopping, just do a great crawl. You never should try to be something else, You can't learn to hop, so just be yourself.

To be a silly little song, it really does have a deep meaning: just be yourself.
