They Stiffed Me on My Crab Rangoon

Dad and his wife came into town last night since my grand nephew (is that even a thing? What else would you call him? He's my niece's son) will have a birthday party tomorrow for his 5th birthday. So, we had a little quick visit with the rest of the fam as well at my place and just to keep things simple I ordered a bunch of Chinese food and had it delivered. With delivery and tip it came to roughly $100, which wasn't bad, all things considered. As part of my order, I ordered 8 crab Rangoon, and the place we get our Chinese from always offers 8 free crab Rangoon with a $20 or more order. Ours certainly met that criteria. I unpacked all the food: • 2 quarts of shrimp fried rice • 1 quart of beef broccoli • 1 quart of General Tso's chicken • 1 quart of shrimp mei fun • 1 quart of shrimp lo mein • 8 crab Rangoon • 2 orders of fried scallops with 10 pieces each • 2 pints of white rice No second order of free crab Rangoon. I didn't call to complain, even though I had company to feed, but it's the first time ever that they screwed my order up and we've been ordering from them for 10 years. Oh well, we still had plenty to eat.

I will probably mention it the next time I place an order. You're right, they might make up for it.

@Tina30219 Asians tend to take good care of their customers too. They know who butters their bread, and they appreciate it.

@porwest Nope, definitely did not heard of this before. Wanton wrap in crab? Not in my memory. it could be that I am too peasant to eat this.

@id_peace To be fair, although you will find it every single Chinese restaurant in America, and even many Japanese and Thai restaurants, it was invented in Beverly Hills, California. lol

This surprises me considering you are from Singapore. It's basically just cream cheese, crab, and other spices or ingredients wrapped in a wonton wrap and fried.

@porwest It was good two days in a row. The second day Dale cooked some venison burgers on the grill and they were delicious!

@1creekgirl Soup is one of those foods that just gets better and better each day after its made. Until mold forms, of course. But soup never lasts long enough around here to ever go bad. lol

Once in ten years probably isn't too bad, all things considered.

Yeah. No complaints here, and it's the reason I chose not to give them any jazz about it. I MIGHT mention it on my next order, though, just out of curiosity to see what they might do.
