I started book #13 in the Amazon Good Reads challenge, and Book #9 in this particular series, which takes place in Victorian England. The author is supposed by be something of an expert and what kinds of things went on in Victorian times, and from reading about it, I'm sure glad that I didn't live in them. A lot of their laws were really weird, and a lot of the things they got concerned about (particularly in "society" circles) these days wouldn't be worth a second thought. Yikes. As often happens (I've only read the first chapter) the main character has not come on the scene, yet. I've learned that that's just often the way this author sets things up. I look forward to getting more into the story, as I've enjoyed this series.

For once, you're ahead of me. I've only read 10 books so far this year. Just haven't felt like reading anything. Currently slogging through The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. I say slogging because each chapter is written first person singular, but the person keeps changing. I find that a bit disorienting.
