With the kind of attitude displayed by today's generation where most are married to their profession having no time for others it has become necessary to depend on society for the kind of help that normally a family member extends.
I notice that the only time you see the younger generation is when they attend events or organise events.
How close knit are you with your family?

Most of the young adults today aren't interested in having kids and raising a family. They've looked at the jobs available to them and have decided they can't afford to have and raise kids in this economy so they aren't willing to try. That's also the reason fewer of them get married now. They don't want to be responsible for paying for someone else. Things are just too expensive now. We read these sentiments all over the internet.
We talk to some family over the phone or by text messages but rarely see any of the younger generations.

@allknowing The attitude of the kids today will help the planet by reducing the human species. While we always want our own family to grow and prosper, seeing other families dwindle is not seen as a bad thing. Pretty doesn't want kids and I don't blame her. We have too many health issues that shouldn't be passed on to more kids.

@DaddyEvil Very good point, but it is also very troubling for people who are trying to raise a loving child when the world is so full of anger and hate.

I have discovered that children now can be called "good kids" if they donĀ“t want to depend on you until forever. I am closer with my friends Dixie and Humberto than with my own children. But now if is harder to live than it was when I was a child.

It is their ambition that has placed them in such a situation forcing seniors to depend on society for their survival

You made such a good point. This is concerning a lot of people. I never even thought true family to how world became corporate and spend way more time with corporate than they will with their true family. People do see corporate more family than real family. The biggest reason is people always go you cannot pick your real family but can in other ways, buts it still is not fixing the many who do not want children problem. Its hard to be corporate and have kids. Sad to say.

Their interactio is all need based and has nothing to do with bonding with blood relations.

@allknowing Most of that I agree, but some do get bonding like when you meet a cool bosses kid for once. I am single for life but that even makes me tear up thinking about the time I spent with his kids. Just a loner and they were like look at this, stop it stupid, he wants to see this. Not much going on in that regard anymore. Most people do not trust people around their kids and if you are trusted, you like get me out of here so I do not corrupt them.

@crossbones27 What you have described is a different scenario where parents are concerned but what we are discussing is today's youngsters and their indifference
