I thought it was going to be over with today but I guess he's not ready to go just yet, huh? I'm talking about my dog that's barely alive. Out of 6 I'm down to 2 & 1 of the 2 is barely hanging on, he's hardly eating or drinking he can't stand on his own & it's hard to watch. I take him out every 4 hrs to go potty but I have to pick him up where I can get him on his feet enough to walk but straddle him. I hate to see him suffer I give him what ever I can to get him to eat but no matter what I give him he'll eat a few bites & that's it, I give him water & he drinks plenty of it. He's been going down for the past 2 wks & I was hoping I could get him back up but I guess it's just wishful thinking on my part, cause I can't believe he's dying. I would take him to the vet but it's not as easy as you would think it is, he hasn't had any shots & the vet is in another town & they won't touch him without shots & I don't see the point in giving him shots if he's barely alive just to put him to sleep. So I've thought about just doing something myself to help him go a little better but I hate the thought of putting him though something that MIGHT not work & that I can't deal with so what do I DO??

I can't picture them not putting him down just because he doesn't have his shots. That's not right. Hope he isn't in pain.

@wolfgirl569 I waited one more week to help Misty die because I wanted her to be alive forever. Until today I regret what I did. I made her suffer and it was not needed.

@2ndchances24 Search for a livestock vet near you. They might even come to you. It costs a little more for that but your dog and you get to stay in familiar surroundings.

I totally agree, it's not right nor should it be Legal to refuse that service.

Where I live, house dogs get their shots every some months. Luna has a sort of diary with her vaccines and the vet writes what she has given her when she comes. She also has there her rabies certificate. That is a must or you are fined. How old are your puppies?

@2ndchances24 Misty´s vet had told me it was time to put her to sleep one week before. He was coming every week to see her. But I waited one more week and I´ll repent all my life. I made her very unhappy.

@marguicha The 1 b-4 him was just about that age when she got where she couldn't walk & stopped eating when we had to put her down but the vet knew she wasn't going to last long from the last time they seen her.

i'm really sorry. you're the only one who knows in what shape your dog is and it is not a crime to let him go.

@grenery8 I don't have a clue. He walks but after a few steps or so he just falls down like he can't hold his weight up & I've tried everything I know to do to keep him fed but he's turned down just about every kind of dog treats & treats I have gave him so now I'm trying other sources of food he might eat.
