Fear of height? Feeling to jump? Or something else?

A view looking down from the highest floor in a mall

Every time I visited a mall and went up to the highest floor of the building and tried to look down, then there’s this feeling that someone is telling you to jump to there’s a force that pulling you down. Is this just a feeling or something else? Is there anyone out there who feels or experience the same way too?

That's a really interesting feeling! It's definitely not something I've experienced, but I can understand why it would be unsettling. It sounds like a combination of a physical sensation and a psychological one, maybe a bit of vertigo mixed with a sense of anxiety. It's good that you're acknowledging it, and if it bothers you, maybe talking to a professional could help! You're not alone, though. Lots of people have strange feelings and experiences – we're all a bit weird sometimes.

Thanks for your response and your point of view. I am now avoiding to look down every time I’ll visit a mall or tall buildings.

I'm afraid to heights but I'm afraid to fall down instead I'm trying not to look down to overcome my fear.

Actually, I’m not afraid of heights. It’s just a really weird feeling.

It’s not just you. I suffer from the same thing, and for the longest time I thought I was simply weird. One day I came across an article about this, and there really is a name for it. It was so long ago I don’t remember it, but rest assured, it isn’t just you.

It was really weird that’s why I was considering it also as a supernatural cause.

I'm not sure it if it is a feeling but it must be something else.
