Sitting here vaping looking at the clouded night sky

It's nothing like camping. No peace or tranquility, though fortunately I'm next to my house, inside my backyard. Or rather at the side of it. What is it that dims the skies and clouds it so I can not see the stars. Is it the lights? They illuminate everything. The ambient noise isn't wildlife. It's the sound of cars. Though I'm not all that far off. There is coyotes here (I'm in a suburb in Los Angeles, but there is a hiking trail near my house. However there is also a 7/11 and a Walmart) I forgot to close the gate one night and I coyote snuck in and pooped in our yard. But it's not like I'm looking at the sky much anyway. Should I get a planetarium night light. I want one but none of them have the actual night sky that actually looks like it. Well, none of them under $50 anyhow. Yes, I believe I shall.

I will agree. Nothing like camping, and in fact, we have a trip planned (the first of the season) in late April. Looking forward to it. I live in a "country feel" city. We have a lot of farms nearby and all around us, but we still have all the amenities like fast food restaurants, pizza places, Mexican food, grocery stores, and even a Walmart. Sitting in our backyard we catch a lot of stars.

I live in Los Angeles this as as close as I get to the great outdoors. I don't have the money, or more importantly the skills, to do so.

@Spatula11 Maybe that will change one day. All it starts with, be it money or skills, is wanting it and then making it happen.
