I've just been to the little Tesco again. It's a bit dull out today, but it's not raining. I went to go to the toilet and get ready, and when I came back into the living room to get Mum's shopping list, money and everything, my Mum was at the door paying the lawnmower man. She came in, I think her intention was to go and talk to Syd about having the drive washed, but she saw me sitting on the arm of the settee waiting, and she said, Oh, you want some money. So she got me to get her purse out and take out the club card and TV magazine voucher and £30, and I took the shopping list off the coffee table and off I went, while my Mum went back to the door to talk to the lawnmower man.
I set off, and as I was walking passed the front of my house, I waved to my Mum who was still standing on the doorstep talking to the lawnmower man!
As I was passing the house on the corner I saw Katie the black pussycat by her gate with her back to me, but I said I can't stop to fuss you today puss, I've haven't got time. I went out onto the main street where the shop is, and on one of the houses on the left someone was mowing the lawn there too.
When I was passing the car park opposite the little Tesco I noticed the barrier that usually goes over the entrance was rooted up at one end! The whole thing was bent around and the end that was supposed to be in the ground at the other side was positioned in the first parking space the other side, with the other end still in place. In the end where it was uprooted from you could see like rocks or boulders that had come out of the whole where the end should have been!
I don't know if you understood any of that!
I crossed the road and went into the shop. I got the TV magazines as usual, then I went round to where the freshly baked stuff usually is. But there was nothing there! Nada. Zilch. So I had to get a little bag of chocolate chip cookies instead.
I got Syd a snickers bar and I got Mum some Malted Milk biscuits, then I went round and got 1 lot of strawberries. Then Mum wanted some Alpen and I got 2 bottles of milk. And then I went to pay.
The lady was scanning everything in, and then she said the strawberries were leaking and would I like her to go and get another one, and I said yes. She finished scanning everything, and then she said I could pick up a fresh packet of strawberries on my way out, but I said I'd prefer it if she got them for me because I didn't want to get accused of stealing! So she went and got them for me. I can't remember how much it cost because of all the business with the strawberries, but it was less than £15 because I had a £5 note in my change from a £20 note plus some coins.
I set off for home. The guy who was mowing the lawn at the house I'd gone passed before was saying, Yes please, milk and two sugars, to the old lady who lives there! Katie had disappeared from the front of her house round the corner when I went passed. And the lawnmower man was gone when I got home.
I entered my house and went and gave my Mum her change, shopping list, club card and TV magazine voucher. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. I told my Mum about the strawberries and about the thing above the entrance to the car park which is now no longer over the entrance to the car park!
My Mum told me she'd booked the lawnmower man to come and clean our driveway next Tuesday, and she did it without telling Syd! She only told him after she'd organised it! I'm not sure he was pleased about that, but it needs doing, and Mum did say she'd go halves on it!
I sat down to write this, and I was just in time for Homes Under the Hammer!
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

I hope the items being unavailable is not a sign of things to come.

Yes, me too. But I just think the delivery hadn't arrived yet. I don't think they bake them on site. They do in the big Tesco because you can see the kitchen.

Well, it's not that strange. It has happened before.

We have our lawns done once a fortnight usually, but they have a break during the winter due to the weather and stuff. I think our lawnmower man started doing ours again in February.
