Today marks a significant milestone for my wife—her official last day as a teacher. Her school has organized a special ceremony to honor retirees and recognize their hard work and dedication throughout the school year. She’s been eagerly preparing for the program, and I can see the excitement in her as she gets ready for this well-deserved recognition. I feel fortunate to be invited to witness this momentous occasion and celebrate this new chapter in her life with her. On top of that, another piece of good news came my way—I finally got my car back after having it repaired due to a minor accident a few weeks ago. The timing couldn’t have been better, as now we can use it to pick up my wife after the ceremony, making the day even more convenient and special. It’s a great feeling to see everything falling into place at just the right time.

Yes, in my case, I retired quietly, without much fanfare, while my wife had this beautiful event that made her retirement truly special and memorable. It was a grand occasion for the school, not just to honor the retirees but also to recognize those who have dedicated many years of service. Seeing the appreciation and celebration made her transition even more meaningful, and I’m glad she got to experience such a heartfelt send-off.

@rakski We intend to travel overseas in the upcoming months to take full advantage of our freedom. In addition to accepting the invitation to a family gathering, my sister and I intend to take a few more tours before returning home. My wife will have a special birthday treat in July: a quick trip to another Asian nation. Following that, we are unsure of our plans, but we are hoping to find some side gigs to supplement our income without committing to a full-time job. excited for the adventures that lie ahead!

Indeed, it was wonderful to witness the occasion firsthand. I’m sure it was a truly memorable moment for her, as it was the last service recognition ceremony she would attend as a teacher. In the coming years, she may still be invited, but this time as a guest—marking the shift from being an honoree to simply reminiscing about the years she dedicated to her profession.

It will surely be an emotional journey for her, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. I’m eager to see how things unfold after the ceremonies and how she embraces this new phase of life.

The event has just concluded, and it turned out to be a grand gathering dedicated to honoring those who have dedicated years of service and those who are stepping into retirement. It was an emotional rollercoaster, especially for my wife, as she bid farewell to her fellow teachers, students, and the institution that has been a significant part of her life. Seeing the heartfelt goodbyes and appreciation from colleagues and students made the occasion even more memorable. It was a touching moment, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Thanks! Since I retired earlier than her, seeing my wife step into retirement now feels like a whole new experience. Recognition is something we’ve encountered before, but this moment feels different—more meaningful in its own way. I’m just here to enjoy and celebrate this special milestone with her.

After working for two decades, I have every reason to be proud of your accomplishments. It's natural to feel that time has flown by, especially when reflecting on such a significant part of your life. This new chapter brings a mix of bittersweet emotions—missing some aspects of your old routine while embracing the freedom from others. I think of this transition as a beautiful journey. I've built a strong foundation, and now you have the opportunity to explore new horizons. While there are things I'll miss, there are also exciting new experiences waiting for us. I embrace the change with an open heart and trust that this new phase will bring its own rewards and joys. Your journey is far from over—it's just beginning a new and exciting chapter

Both my wife and I have recently retired. She celebrated the end of her career with a grand event, while I chose a quieter approach, preferring a simple and peaceful exit. I didn't want the fanfare; just a calm transition into this new chapter. It's a mix of emotions, but we're excited to embrace the freedom and opportunities that retirement brings.
