Sometimes I Just Wish the World Would End

I was reading the news headlines this morning:
3 teenage girls stabbed and tried to kill their mother for turning off wi-fi
A doctor tried to kill his wife during a hike in Hawaii
Torching of Tesla vehicles
Well there were more, but when I just went back to check them, they had refreshed into new news stories.
I could say just stop reading the news if it's so depressing, but that's not realistic. Our world is spinning out of control and people are doing the most heinous things for no reason at all.
When did we become such a violent self-serving world? Why is there no unity or focus on something to build up rather than the constant tearing down of different ideas and opinions?

@porwest You are so right about that. And listening to "feelings" rather than "facts"

@LooeyVille That's another HUGE one. It's made people entitled, ungrateful, and uncaring about the life of others.

There have always been evil people who walk among us.

The never-ending horror stories in the news are getting to me, too. I am trying to concentrate on the good things but it is hard when people have no morals.
My son is wishing for Yellowstone to erupt in a powerful way. I tell him that his volunteering to feed to homeless is more powerful than a caldera erupting. I am losing hope for this world.

Lou, I know you know the Bible and that all this shouldn't surprise us. But it's still very depressing to see such evil all around us.

People take advantage of the freedom they are given.
The majority is left to wonder why a few take law into their own hands and are not bothered about the consequences.
No wonder many do not want children any more. Why bring them and make them go through a world which looks beyond repair?

We always have been. Now with social media and everyone needing to know every little thing, it's all just front and center. I keep telling people that especially when something happens and they act shocked.
Then we started just giving our kids things. No work required and we now have the entitled generation that rarely works. The internet gives them what they need and influencing.
I could keep going but it's not really necessary. A kid can work a tablet yet won't do chores around the house. It's ridiclous.

With everything you mentioned & everything I've been hearing
not just on the news but in the series of law & crime it's a life
of all the evil that lives among the innocent weak & helpless that
falls victims without warning.
