Seeing an owl at night

It is a thing of beauty, seeing an owl at night. I didn’t expect this to be at 6pm just before the sun set, but it was a pleasant surprise for sure.
I see the owl a few times now, as I am always aware of roughly when it will appear. It is probs my just a common barn owl, but I don’t mind. It is fairly light in colour, and it does stand out a bit.
I live near a nature reserve, and I assume that is where is heading. Out of an old disused barn and to the old quarry that is now a nature reserve.

@Danielclark691 We have a shack in the back yard with woods behind it, so we hear a lot of owls at night. Looking forward to warmer weather so we can sit out again.

That's cool. When I have my windows open at night when the weather is warm, I hear the Eastern screech owl sometimes. It sounds like a horse whinnying. Funny sound to hear.
