Police Officers of the Kent County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) in Michigan answered an emergency three weeks ago on March 5 when around 15 horses managed to escape their residence and running loose on the streets. The KCSO received assistance from the Michigan State Police, Kent County Animal Control and some eyewitnesses to capture the 15 loose horses who are running on the road near the Byron Center while the police had to close some of the roads so that the horses would be injured by motorists. The horses were rounded up by the authorities and taken back to the barn safe and sound after the incident took about 90 minutes to have the roads reopen for autos to drive safely once again. The good news is that no horses or humans were injured in the incident. Lesson of the day is that teamwork saved the day. Link is upi.com/7261741288077 via @upi

15 horses on the loose is a large number indeed.

Recapturing 15 horses would be quite an exercise. They'd be dangerous running free on a highway.

You are right since the teamwork between the police officers and the eyewitnesses were needed.

That's a lot of horses to be loose on the streets.

Glad they got them but sounds like something must have upset the horses for so many to get loose,

That is what likely happened.

That sounds like a major job to round up so many horses, and it was good that it could be done so quickly, without any major incidents caused by the horses.

I am in agreement with since the return of the horses to their barns did last a long time.

What is it with all these animals on our roads? I'm so glad no horses or humans were injured.

I guess animals go on roads when they leave their barns to get some exercise.
