I have oily skin and struggled with comedones and inflamed acne last year.
After seeing a dermatologist, I started using a salicylic acid facewash on his recommendation, which has significantly improved my skin.
I no longer experience inflamed acne, although comedones persist, particularly on my forehead. I have to look really close into the mirror to see them though.
As long as I don't get inflamed acne, I am fine
. Also I do use another moisturizer after the facewash. He kinda said that even with oily skin, one has to use a moisturizer after washing the face...
Ok so that's my 2 step skincare routine...hehe. Some shorts pop up on youtube about 10 step skincare routine
...ah all I have to say I pay homage to those girls out there who can consistently follow that kind of routine...Nevertheless, I am happy with my 2 step routine

Good morning...
I've always had oily skin, too. While it helps me stay young looking, I also suffered from acne. I started using a salicylic face wash and then moisturizing my face afterwards and it has helped me, too. Once in a while I still have an outbreak even at my age but it's usually gone within a couple of days.

Wow so that's the good side of oily skin! Btw is your skin oily all over or just the T zone(forehead, nose, chin)?

@Dreamerby I have oily skin all over... In some ways that's a blessing but in others, it can be bad.

I have oily skin but don't use anything but some wipes to keep down the oil. My skin looks a lot younger than I am fortunately.

Oh so that's the good thing about oily skin I suppose. Btw is your skin still as oily as it was when you were younger?

My skin seems OK with a few blackheads on my neck. I have left them there.

Nice. I have blackheads on my nose though...but they are only visible when I lookclosely into the mirror
