It was 71 degrees here today. It's getting warm fast. I guess Housing is still planning to do the flooring They sent us the letter March 4 introducing what their plan was, our rep was next door yesterday and made mention of it to my daughter when she saw her outside. Not a date, no update no nothing. I called her office but no answer and so I left a message. I would like to get this over with. It's getting warm and we set up fans on the stairs to keep it cool in here. I really hate to set those up until after the work is done. Fans, cords, etc. It's a hassle. So hurry up and wait I guess. Do you have plans for this spring and summer? Fun outings with the kids?Auctions? Trips? Renovations? Etc.

They sent the letter April 4? But, but, but... it's still March. How'd they do dat? I plan to work on my yard and garden, and most likely buy a mobility scooter so I can save my poor aching feet. Of course, I won't be using it in the yard or garden, just out there on the city streets.

You know how bureaucracy works; tell people you're planning on doing something but never give them details they can bring up again and again until you're forced to actually follow through. We have plans from an organization here called OACAC to do work on the house we're renting to upgrade the weatherization here but when they'll actually come and do it, who knows. Our heating bill dropped after they did adjustments to the windows in the house so they fit tighter and actually closed without me putting up plastic to cover them... The plan is for the outside doors to be replaced, some of the storm windows will be replaced and insulation will be blown into the attic and outside walls. They'll also put a vapor barrier below the house. It should all help lower our heating and cooling bills.

Oh, yes I am very aware of how bureaucracy works. Housing usually just plows forward after sending us a letter like they have. Work like weatherization can be hard to pinpoint a date. I can understand that. One place takes a bit longer and throws a wrench in the whole scheduling. And, it seems that the people next door to us just moved out so they are having to do some work over there. The updates sound nice. They put in windows here about ten years ago or so. Hope it does help with those bills.

@celticeagle Thanks. I hope things there go well and quickly for you. Maybe the house next door won't take too long.

We don't have much planned for the tuture. We've booked for a concert in May and we have one more house-sit to do for our niece. That's from late April to early June.
