Greenland doesn't want the Vances to visit

Trump has been fixated on annexing territories and countries like Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal. The Very Stable Genius said that he would bring down the price of groceries and end the war in Ukraine on "Day 1" of his term. The stupid MAGA rubes fell for it. Of course 2 months later neither of those things have happened and he is obsessed with making things MORE expensive (tariffs) and annexing territory. Yeah that will make life better for Americans. Don Jr. visited Greenland several weeks ago and that was a disaster. He didn't even stay for 24 hours. It was announced several days ago that Second Lady Usha Vance and one of her children would be visiting there tomorrow as a "cultural visit". She was supposed to visit various businesses and attend a prestigious dog-sled race. Then it was announced that Mike Waltz, the National Security Advisor, would be joining her. Then her husband JD Vance announced he was going as well because he didn't want her to "have all of the fun" herself which I have to say I thought was an odd statement to make. After that Usha was un-invited from visiting a tourism business because it was said that it was clear the visit was part of Trump's annexation mission. The store said: "We cannot accept the underlying agenda and will not be part of the press show that, quite, of course, comes with it. No thanks to nice visit... Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders." So now there has been no mention of Waltz still being part of the envoy and the Vances will just be visiting a US military base in northern Greenland to receive a military briefing on the situation in the Arctic area. Um, since when do Second Ladies receive military briefings? Are they also in the Situation Room when military strikes are occurring? Yeah. . . no. Seems to me that DOGE should scrap the trip. After all can't JD just get a briefing on Signal or Zoom or something? The Trump administration has no issue with using unsecured apps to share sensitive military information.
It was initially billed as a family-friendly holiday with Usha and one of her children to immerse themselves in Greenlandic culture and visit the annual dogsled competition.

It's not going very well for Trump but it doesn't seem to be making much difference. He carries on regardless.

I don't think anybody in Greenland wants any of them to visit, ever.
