This stuff is actually quite good!

As you know, I work late until the evening several days of the week at Guitar Center. When I get home, I just want something easy to make for dinner before I head to bed. Some of my default quick meals include Stouffer's turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes and Stouffer's Fettuccine Alfredo. More recently I have added frozen pizza to my list. Last night I had Marie Callender's pot roast for dinner. I added it to my list of quick and tasty evening meals a couple of months ago. The beef is tender, the potatoes are firm, and the carrots are tasty. The sauce/gravy is also tasty. I add a bit of salt to the mix. Are there certain frozen foods you like when you need a quick meal?

I find Stouffer's turkey, etc. too salty for my taste. I'm assuming that pot roast dinner is microwavable. If so, I migjt give it a try f I find it in a single serving size. All the other stuff of hers that I've come across have been family size.

@TheHorse I know farmers put out a salt lick for their cows but I didn't know it was for horses, too.

The stuff I encounter is single serving. I have to add some salt with most OTC frozen foods.

I think I've had that once. She does a good job. We will have one of her pies next month.

As long as they aren’t being recalled I like Lean Cuisine. Marie Callender’s is good, too, when I have the points to spare.

@TheHorse — a lot of Stouffer’s/Lean Cuisine frozen meals were recalled earlier this month.

We might get Apricot Chicken, Lemon Chicken or Chicken with Cashews. They're all good.

Who makes them? I should get back to Trader Joe's, so I can have some of their delightful frozen Indian dishes.

@TheHorse There are several brands. One is Lean Cuisine; then there's McCains, Woolworth's, Coles.

Glad you have found a tasty and easy to prepare dinner option! As for me, I don't buy frozen stuff. Its not that common here.

I keep frozen burritos, and taquitos on hand. I also almost always have some rice cooked and in the freezer. My basic fast go to though is to microwave a potato and top it with anything handy.

@TheHorse The food was cooked in the manner of steaming apparently . Supposed to be healthier. It’s microwaved though, so how healthy can I really be?

My freezer is usually filled with seasoned fries, tater tots, pork sausage patties, chicken nuggets, and Italian meatballs. Then I just take what I want and put them into the toaster oven. Sometimes I add some veggies,

That's so weird! I had the beef pot roast and the Fettuccine Alfredo last weekend!!! The Alfredo was pretty good. Stouffer's is the best but has the most calories and sodium.
