I hadn't heard of him, no. We have the world center here and I have seen eagles, falcons, owls and a vulture. They are well taken care of and I wish I could make it there again. 33 is a good age for the dear fellow.

@akalinus The condor is our national bird. It lives in the Andes mountains. But during the pandemia it was even seen near the city where I live. People took pictures of condors grabing the meat they were thawing for a barbecue. I applauded the condors. We have taken their habitat.

Do you have large birds in Chile? I am thinking of birds like the condor or others.

I saw several of them years ago at the zoo. They'd been injured in various ways and couldn't fly anymore. They were at the zoo being treated for their injuries. We used to see a pair of them when I was growing up on the farm. They roosted in a tree in the neighbor's field.

RIP Murphy. Folks here have been focused on the bald eagles in Big Bear that had 3 offspring (now only 2). But I have not heard of Murphy. They do not live in our area, but I've seen them at the zoo.

I have seen an eagle. It is a shame to lose one. We lost another one when an eaglet went missing in a recent storm. I hope they don't d!e out from the horrible storms we are experiencing across the nation.
