That was different ...

It's 12:27 p.m. by my computer clock, and I need to get lunch. I couldn't find my phone this morning, so I walked to the parsonage (pastor's house) to ask if I could call someone that I thought I left my phone in their car last night. When I got there and knocked no one was home, so since I was close by, I continued on to my "old neighborhood". I stopped at my old neighbors' that was two doors down from me--I was friends with his son when I was little (my parents moved into that neighborhood when I was almost four years old). He invited me in, and I had flashbacks of playing there when I was a kid. We used to make forts with pillows and stuff under their pool table. Also, the parents owned a Hallmark store, and their garage was often full of boxes of product, and we made some really cool forts in there with different rooms and stuff. The man offered to drive me home, (by this time it was raining pretty good) but I was going to go down the street to say hello to my former next door neighbor, but while there were workmen coming in and out of the backyard, and the family Husky was in the garage like usual (I stopped and paid attention to him for a few minutes), I wound up going back to the first neighbor's house and taking him up on his offer for a ride home. When I got home, I found my phone on my bed. Oh, well, at least I did something different today. Now, I need to go and find something for lunch. Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

You and your phone are something. I think we all have something like that though. I used to be like that with losing my keys. I recently attached them to a neon colored lanyard with The Golden Girls on it so I’d be less likely to lose track.

The weird thing is, I have attached "beepers" to my phone, keys, and purse. When I pushed the button that would have made the beeper on my phone go off, I didn't hear it. That made me assume I'd left it in someone's car or something.

I miss my dog. It doesn't hurt as bad these days, but I still miss her.

And I bet you brightened up your old neighbour's day, too.
