Tennessee National Guard rescues an injured hiker

Members of the Tennessee National Guard responded to an emergency call from a hiker who was located in the Great Smoky National Park which is located in Louisville Tennessee this past weekend.
Paramedics of the Guardsmen came to the rescue via a helicopter that came from Joint Base McGhee-Tyson in Louisville to near the Ramsey Cascades waterfall where paramedics were giving first aid to the injured hiker when the guardsmen were able to get aboard a helicopter with the hiker to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where the condition of the hiker has not been disclosed to the public.

Glad the hiker was rescued, It has always been my opinion that people should not go hiking alone,

That is an expensive rescue effort, using a helicopter to rescue the hiker, and it was good he was rescued, safe and well, but I wonder who will foot the enormous bill, for this operation.

Probably the hiker will foot the bill for the rescue by the guardsmen.
