The digital world of the illiterates

Our government has provided bank accounts to quite a few and many are illiterates. These illiterates are not aware of how fraudsters can get at their accounts, as not just illiterates even others get trapped sometimes There is now a message that we hear each time we use the phone - warning about not to entrtain calls from uknown numbers as they could be fraudsters. These messages are annoying as we get to hear them each time we use the phone. I wonder if it was wise for government to provide bank accounts to those who do not know how to read or write.

Maybe not, but where are they supposed to keep their money?

They can have an account where one could help them write a check which is safer.

No, it wasn't wise for the government to provide bank accounts with people who don't understand how to use them or how they can be hacked... But the government did that so they could track money the illiterates have and use and for what they're using it... Of course, it's always what is best for the government, not the people.

That message that we get to hear each time we want to call someone is annoying and surely the government must have oome to know of the disaster in getting the illiterates into the digital world but they will not admit it.

@DaddyEvil I was watching an episode on Crime Patrol where the criminal takes bank accounts of the illiterates on rent and transfers amounts earned fraudently to their account which they withdraw and pay this guy and who in turn gives them commission. Will not be surprised if the government is indulging in such activity

@allknowing Of course they won't admit they made a mistake... They don't gain anything by admitting they screwed up... Just like trump and musk won't admit they made mistakes. It's stupid but that's how they are.

They should have someone teach them how to use the account.

It would be a good idea for our government to provide bank accounts for persons who cannot read or write.

It is quite risky for an illiterate to manage a bank account.

Our government thought it would become popular by taking this stand and now they are desperately warning the public.
