Got the results of last week's observation today

3.69 out of 4 = HIGHLY EFFECTIVE. That's the highest score I've ever received and the 2nd time I've been rated as such. It is no coincidence that I got those 2 great scores this year after the 2 former people who observed the science department moved somewhere else. They were well-known to be 2 of the 3 hardest observers in the district. I don't even understand how it was allowed that they *both* did our observations but whatever. It is over. I knew that the supervisor loved the lesson and he even helped to answer student questions when I was busy working with the MLLs (multi-lingual learners who speak no English) using an electronic translator. It was rough waiting a week to finally get the observation but I was very happy to read it when I did at the end of the work day. No more observations for the rest of this school year. Every year admin says they are going to do random walk-throughs and they never do. Fine with me. I mean they are never going to find me doing something totally off-the-wall. They might find the students playing UNO or Apples to Apples if they are finished with their work but hey at least they are engaging with each other instead of rotting brain cells on their phones.
