Yes, it’s time for another song that’s 70 years old now. And it’s another song that was on the 100 favorites list. AND it’s another classic country music song. Oh, and those harmonies are the cherry on top. This was Porter Wagoner’s second single, and his first number one song. The song’s title was also the title of Wagoner’s biography (which Wagoner claimed needed to be handled “with asbestos gloves” because of the tawdry details).
