This book is driving me nuts...

In the book I'm reading, someone was murdered in the last six chapters or so (though of course they're saying it was suicide). When the detective (or, as they call him, being it's Victorian era England: "Private agent of inquiry".) asks someone about a certain time on a break during court proceedings, the man pretty much tells him who did it and how it was done, but it's been at least three chapters since and the guy hasn't figured it out yet!
Arrrrrgh! When the detective and other characters are talking about it, I want to scream at them, "Hey, that guy three chapters back told you how it happened, get a clue!"
Sigh. Just had to rant. Is it just me, or does anyone else get irked when you can see something totally clearly and the characters in the book don't see what you can see!?!?

I like this sort of thing. I prefer audiobooks though

I'm the exact opposite. I prefer a book I can physically hold.

That is they drag the story out which sometimes it makes it boring.
