Always someone worse off

March 29, 2025 4:56pm CST
There will always be someone going through a tough time. I will extend that and say that whatever you are personally going through or suffering with, someone will always be worse off than you. Look at Myanmar and countries at war. Devastation on an industrial scale. Loss of life, loss of family, your home. You just don’t know what others are going through in that moment. I wish the earthquake victims of Myanmar and surrounding regions all the best. It is a tough time and the world is thinking of you.

This is always the way I view the worst of times and situations. It helps to find the silver lining that exists in almost all things.

@Danielclark691 As the Monty Python show once quipped, "Always look on the bright side of life."

You are absolutely right. That's what my parents often say. I had seen many ups and downs in my life. But my parents would always consoled me saying there were people in worse condition.

@Danielclark691 My father would say; if you are sad because you have no shoes; you will always find men around you who don't have legs.

It's really tragic. Another reason to thank God for His blessings.

What you say is very true. We need to try to remember that sometimes our troubles aren't really that bad.

They can be bad, but will not always be bad than a lot of other things. This especially helps when we are struggling with mental health
