Gelato the Italian ice cream / myLot

Italy is known for exotic food and I so wanted to have a scoop of Gelato ice cream when I was on a package tour of Italy. There was no opportunity to get to any place where we could have it and I missed that opportunity. I have never heard of any other country making this exotic ice cream and wonder what is so special about it There will never be another time

I always ice cream no matter what kind of ice cream it is. Wow! it looks delicious. I wish i could taste it.

You can buy gelato easily in Australia but I much prefer regular ice-cream.

The one who recommended that I try it out while I visit Italy sang its praises. I was keen on tasting it. What you get in Austraia may not match the original as is the case with every item that is made in another country I tried Belgian chocolates made in India and they were a disaster

@allknowing Are belgian chocolates made in India that bad? I once tried belgian chocolate flavored icecream. It was savory!
