Yesterday my husband's 2nd cousin said that Mondays were for picking up the groceries, doing the trash and making sandwiches and that I shouldn't be adding things to the day. WHAT? WTH? I thought **I** hired you and **I** was the one that was paying you. **You** are the one that's calling the shots? I didn't say anything; but I was quite shocked. Did I overreact? Am I wrong?
I'm starting on the long list of things to do. I called Terminix. They are coming out next Monday to inspect the outside of the house and to give me an estimate on how much it will cost to close up the mice entry points. I also called to get the drive re-graveled. Wednesday is the Title Bureau and bank. Gotta knock these things off my list.
Happy April!!!
Breakfast - PB&J sandwich
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed pepper, mashed potatoes, carrots, Mandarin oranges
Dessert/Snack - Jelly beans (bad girl)
Dinner - Buffalo chicken/Cheddar sandwich and chips
What did you eat yesterday?

If you're paying her, then she has no say in the matter. You are not overreacting. She's in the wrong.

Thank you. I really need to talk to her; but she has a short fuse.

@LindaOHio You could always call Job Service and see if they can recommend someone to take her place.

@DaddyEvil I hate to lose her because she takes me on all my errands and doctor appointments and I trust her to handle cash and to be in any room by herself.

I’m surprised that you’re paying her. Hopefully, it’s because you want to and not because she asked you to pay her for helping.
But since you’re paying her I think she should help you with whatever you need and when you need it as long as she has time to do it.

Yes, you're right. She told me on Tuesday that she had been tired. She gets really obnoxious when she's tired.

Yes, that's for sure. She told me the next day that she was tired. She's really obnoxious when she's tired.

It does sound like Monday's are full. But you hired her. But she is family too so she is comfortable saying what she thinks

I mentally had the same response as you did. Even when I was caring for my sister, I did what she needed or wanted done.

You are paying her, so you should be in control of how you would liked to be helped. She may mean well to organize it her way and perhaps make the plans convenient for her, but she really should discuss and coordinate it all with you first. I know with family it can get sticky - better to get these things straightened out before it goes on for too long.

Chicken taco salad for lunch, and wayyyy too many tomatoes (hurt my stomach) along with my sammiches and soup for dinner. And yogurt and fiber and apples!
