Happy April Fool's Day! Did you pull any pranks or have any pulled on you? I haven't.
People have been playing them for as long as we can remember. Family and friends not only do them but some big businesses do also.
In April 1934 The New York Times, the Daily News, and the Chicago & Examiner all published an fantastic photo of a man in the air wearing skis and clinging to a pair of tube's. The flyer was able to power rotors in the the tubes by blowing into a box and making himself the first to achieve flight with his own body's energy. In actuality this was a fabricated story in the April Fool's edition of a German news magazine.
Another April Fool's prank was on the BBC in 1957. Using their investigative series Panorama to have fun with viewers they showed footage of people smiling while plucking "spaghetti" from trees. The narrator, Richard Dimbleby, explained that this was a banner year for the crop in a small Swiss village because of a mild winter and the eradication of the pesky weevil. Spaghetti was still new in the United Kingdom so this explains why the switchboard was busy at BBC with callers wanting to know how to grow their own trees.
Tomfoolery and shananigans are fun but I can never think of a good prank. Do you do any pranks or do you know of any?

I pretty much agree. I have always wanted to pull one though. Nothing hurtful but something funny. Never had cause I can't think that way I guess.

I saw one that was pretty funny: a meteorologist I follow on Facebook had an “emergency notice” from a police department, with a link attached…it was “Rick Roll” (the video of “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley). I loved that one. There were other ones on Facebook (like a rock group saying they’re switching to all Zamfir music).

Those sound cute. I am not that inventive I guess. Never can think of anything funny to do.

I've had them at work but I retired back in 2005.

I avoided pranks by staying in bed quite late. I was at work a couple of hours before midday though so there was opportunity
