Middle School Tour Night

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Tonight was the night that we (parents of 5th graders) took our kids to the middle school to do a tour and meet the teachers. The evening started off with everyone going to the auditorium for a short meet and greet. The principal introduced the teachers and explained the extracurricular classes that the kids can choose from. In 6th grade they don't get to choose which extra classes they take, unless they want to take choir, band or orchestra. After that, the kids got to tour the school. However, it was not just a regular tour - they did a scavenger hunt. Let me just say, that was exhausting! There were 17 different clues so we had to go back and forth all over the building. Upstairs, downstairs, through the gym, etc... If they finished and unscrambled the sentence they could put their paper in to be drawn for an award (of school merch). With all the back and forth we did, Eli should know where everything is in the fall! What do you all think of introducing the school in that way? Would that be fun or just tiring? Photo is mine; Eli at the end of 4th grade.

Cute photo. That was a clever way of familiarizing the kids with the school.

Wasn't fun for parents like me though that have back pain, and anxiety lol Not sure Eli had fun with it because of that.

Well probably was more fun for the kids to do it that way. I know it was misery for me.
