This is the season for jasmines. Jasmines have a strong smell and here many women wear them on their hair. I can smell them right inside my house if they are walking on the road next to our house.
Most brides wear them too and the smell is always associated with weddings not to speak of funerals.
I had a classmate who always had flowers in her hair and she would wear jasmines too when the whole class smelt of them. We lost this classmate a couple of months ago

Jasmine gajra is so common in India, more in South India. I love the smell of jasmine. I have one on my terrace and it's heavenly when the breeze in the night fills our bedroom with the smell.

I can imagine how your bedroom could smell with those jasmines We had a double jasmine years ago but as you know so many flowers have vanished from our garden

Just now
@allknowing I have double jasmine too. They both are in the same big pot. But these double ones don't bloom much. This one is just gorgeous.

My first wife and I grew jasmine in one of our flowerbeds. It's a wonderful smelling flower but too many of them in one place can be overwhelming and make some people feel ill.
It's similar to me smelling some perfumes. If I smell it too long, I will start throwing up.

I agree with you. We had the travelling crucifix that was brought to our house the other day loaded with jasmine garlands. I too put one on and the whole night it was in our house
The smell was overpowering that gave me a headache.

@allknowing Yes, I remember that. I hope your headache went away quickly after the crucifix was taken to the next neighbor.

I like jasmine too as long as there's not too much in one place
