Did you ever feel like someone was watching you outside your home? Here is a true story set to rhyme of just an experience during my childhood years. "Daddy's Flying Feet" Old Myrick's trailer park was where We spent our childhood years. My father was a carpenter; A man who had few fears. The park then, had a "peeping tom" And some folks were afraid. He did his peeping in the night When evil plans are made. One night, as I was coming from The bathroom in the rear, I heard my mother call my dad, "Come quickly, quickly, Dear!" "I heard a noise at kitchen sink Outside our window here. There could be someone standing there; That peeping tom, I fear." The night was hot, with little wind; Our windows opened wide. The screen above the kitchen sink Was missing on that side. My dad moved swiftly to her side To see what he could see, And sure enough, there stood a man As plain, as plain could be. My dad moved back from window, wide To get a running start. Then what I saw stuck in my mind And never will depart. Right through that window Daddy dove To catch the "Tom" that night. That vision sticking in my mind....? MY DADDY'S FEET IN FLIGHT! That guy saw Daddy flying high Right through that window pane So he decided not to stay. DAD MUST HAVE LOOKED "INSANE"! Although he got away that night He never came again. So, maybe Daddy's flying feet BELONGED TO SUPERMAN! By Carl J. Bridgman April 2, 2025

I love that! The rhyme, not the experience you went through. I had a peeping Tom bother me when I was in college and moved into a trailer park by myself for a year. He really freaked me out, and I felt torn because I made friends with his elderly mom who also lived in the trailer park, next to her peeping Tom son.

Thank you for your response Amber. It's funny how your mind holds on to certain scenes in life. I bet I couldn't have been more 8 years old when that occured. Your situation does seem a little sticky when you think about it. I can't imagine knowing who the guy is and living in the same neighborhood ( and being friends with his mom no less.)
