Well, well, will you lookie who’s making an appearance on one of my countdowns? Are you shocked? Didn’t think so. The song might surprise you, but the artist? No way. I was born loving this guy, and this should prove it, as both this song and I are 65 this year. Am I Losing You - Jim Reeves Yes, no “He’ll Have to Go,” which was only the second-biggest hit of 1960 in country music. (Why? Technically, it was released in 1959. ) But Gentleman Jim will always show up any time and every time he can. On a live album he said, “This is one of my favorites. I guess the main reason is because I wrote it and I recorded it four times.” That’s true. The worst version is the too-overproduced rendition with all the strings (I think that was the third version). It wasn’t until 1960 that it finally made it to the top ten. In the wake of the runaway success of “He’ll Have to Go,” that’s understandable. So you get a live video, not one of the studio recordings. Why? Just to prove that the magical voice of Jim Reeves was real. Am I Losing You Written by Jim Reeves Recorded by Jim Reeves Released as a single, 1960 Every road has a bend:

That's nice to know again one of the greatest singer and song writer of your era. I don't know but he remind me of the male lead in the movie "sound of music".

That was Bill Lee’s voice, overdubbing Christopher Plummer’s acting in The Sound of Music.

Then we can move on to Lucinda Williams singing “I Lost It.” I’m sorry, am I losing track of this?

Elvis never did it (his song was “I’ve Lost You”). Ronnie Milsap did a very successful version of it, though.

@FourWalls You know I actually thought to myself "I think I've heard of him before" but then I second-guessed myself.
