What's the opposite of pranks and fibbing? It's fact checking. To fight misinformation and to promote fact integrity the Poynter Institute established the International Fact-Checking Day. It started in 2016 and the IFCN works with over 170 fact-checking organizations to "encourage truth-based public discourse, debunk myths, and ensure journalistic accountability. Becareful. April 4 is National Tell a Lie Day.
