It is almost 11pm so wow I am going to hate life at 5:30am when the alarm goes off. I have to say it was a fun time. There were 5 of us and we did really well. The thing about this version is that you win raffle tickets and the prizes are like the freebie items that beer distributors give out--hats, beer coozies, coolers, etc. The place I used to do trivia would give out gift cards to the top 3 winners. Anyway not the point. . . It was a fun time. I was shocked to see that the head secretary was bartending. Who knew? I would definitely go again. In fact we plan to do it again in 2 weeks. My shining moment was in a category where the answers were all 1 word and ended with "--non". The question was "Number 54 on the table". We all started thinking like gambling things like craps or roulette or whatever. For whatever reason my mind went to the Periodic Table of Elements. First I thought radon but that didn't work. I was thinking, thinking, thinking, and when the host came to collect our answers it suddenly came to me and I was like "xenon!!!" The guy laughed and said "you teachers are crazy". So I'm glad I decided to go but man am I going to be paying for it tomorrow. Mama needs her sleep.
