Working for tomorrow.

Tomorrow comes Martín and he´ll stay for lunch. So I sent for groceries and made a chicken with mushroom sauce as he had applauded the last one I made for him. I´m very happy whan I can have lunch ready the day before. I never know how I will feel the day of the therapy. In between chores I have read news. The world is insane. But at least I decided not to be part of it if I can help it. I will not buy any imported thing from now on. I will only have to see how to use an alternative technology if that can be done. Do you change your way of doing things when the way things are done are not according to your values? See you, friends

Your lunch menu sounds delicious and I am sure that Martin is going to enjoy it. Have a good therapy with him. You are right, world is an insane place these days. I try to stay away from it for the sake of my mental peace and I do every little bit in my capacity to make it a better place. I have done it in the past and will do it in the future too. I change the way if certain things are not aligned with the values that I support.

I am doing the same. And the only thing I can do now is not to buy anything imported from the US. It can be done.

@arunima25 We have lots of produce here too. We have legumes, animals and vegetables of every kind. And we even export fruit.

@marguicha Yes, it can be done. Fortunately, most of the things that we need to survive are produced locally here. And I am always in support of local businesses and farmers.

I am glad you are looking forward to a lunch and therapy with Martin, that will be nice., The chicken sounds delicious. You are correct, the world is insane. Yes, I do change my ways at times if the values don't line up. A person often has to, in order to support the values we believe in.

There is no reason to buy imported groceries in my case. I even make my own sauces and dressings. I just buy a couple of things the are superfluous and can be changed by something else.

@marguicha I make a lot of foods that most people buy already prepared, too. I understand you wanting to buy from your own country. When some of the tariffs kick in, it will get really crazy.

@MarieCoyle I don´t do it for money. Most of the things I eat come out better from my own pot.

The world is insane. I try to change whatever is negative in my world. Can't always do that though.

I´m doing the little I can to stoy the madness of consumerism. Now it is worse.

I think imported items will be beyond the reach of most people. The tariffs are scary to me; and I see nothing but bad news in the future.

In my country some expensive items come from your country but I can do without them. I spend mostly on food and if I prepare my own food I can buy the local ingredients also.
