Small Rant of the Morning

I just need to have this small rant because I'm just extremely upset right now. Every year we do the Lieutenant switch and all the committees and officers get their duties for the year in the Fire Department. It's very organized and I'm not sure how they figure it out in their officer's workshop meeting they have but it's what they do. I was already not happy with the Lieutenant that is now over my station but I could deal with it. I deal with a lot already so handling this guy was just another thing. However, I got a look at the committees and duties list today. I have been kicked off another committee. Last year when everything changed they kicked me off of back up safety. Now they've kicked me off of the events committee. That's like all of my meetings. That's the banquet meetings toward the end of the year. I read the paper and I just started crying. I just don't know what else to do and I'm just done. What's the point in trying anymore? I have bent over backwards to help and be involved but it doesn't matter. I give. The department wins I guess.
