MyLotters To The Rescue

Happy Friday Everyone! overnight rain but we didn't get any of the thunderstorms predicted. Looks like it's clearing up a bit now and maybe we'll see the sun?
My back is starting to feel better and I got a semi-decent nights sleep. I have to thank the myLotters who suggested taking an additional OTC pain pill along with the prescribed muscle relaxers the doctor gave me. They do work so much better with the Tylenol.
I'm really trying to take it easy and get myself totally better because next weekend is my grandsons fiances bridal shower. I would feel really bad if I missed it or if I had to hobble around and not really enjoy myself.
Tonight is an easy dinner. We're having chili (with beans) and I'm going to make a small cornbread to have as a side. So many myLotters suggested corn bread with chili and I've never had it with chili before. I do love corn bread so I don't see why it wouldn't be a good combo.
MyLotters are so helpful so I'm sending out a big thank you. I learn something new here almost every day

Yup, this is a good place to ask questions and find answers... no AI involved (I hope).

Personal experiences are always preferable, in my opinion.

@Marilynda1225 I am still exhausted and my throat is still bothering me. My daughter-in-law is still feeling rough too.

I'm so glad your back is feeling somewhat better and hope your back if fine before the bridal shower.
We had a gentle rain most of the night and then it started storming around 7 am... It's still storming at 10:30 am and the weather radar shows a constant stream of storms for my area today, tonight and tomorrow. I really wish we had a rain gauge in the yard.
My appointment with the chiropractor went well. He aligned my hip and left leg again while checking everything down my spine and making a couple of adjustments there, too. My muscles are aching but I haven't felt the lightning sensation from my left hip down my left leg since we left his office.
(My regular doctor added 7 days of Prednisone to help with the swollen muscles and aches in my back/hip/leg. That seems to be working fine.) Of course, if I do start hurting, I still have the Tylenol and the muscle relaxants.
After we got home from the chiropractor's office, Pretty walked to the expensive grocery store and bought a Mexican Lasagna and I just put it into the oven for two hours. It's enough to feed us for several meals if I don't feel like cooking in the meantime. I've laid out broccoli to steam to go with lasagna for lunch.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

@Marilynda1225 Thanks. I can see new limbs down in the back yard already...
I used to have a regular chiropractor when I worked out all the time but he disappeared and I didn't know what happened with him. At the chiropractor yesterday, he commented that I used to see Doc David in Aurora several years ago. I agreed and told him I'd tried to get an appointment with him but couldn't locate him and asked if he knew where he moved to... The new chiropractor dropped a bomb on me. My old chiropractor had been a good friend. The new doctor said David had shattered one of his shoulder blades working on a patient and, after getting an x-ray, learned he had advanced cancer. He passed away nine months later. I had no idea!
This new chiropractor also asked if I knew a Raymond Evil... I replied that Raymond had been my nephew. The doctor was surprised at my wording and questioned me and was surprised himself when I told him Raymond had passed away during Covid.
I'm sure we will, thanks again.

I'm happy to hear that the chiropractor has been able to help you and that your hip and leg is doing better. I swear by the chiropractor and before I moved to where I live now I saw one regularly. He's too far a drive to go back to him now and I've been thinking I should look for a new one here.
Hope the storms don't get too bad there today and over the weekend.
Enjoy your lasagna!! yum

It is a great place to be friends. I do find that the combination of a muscle relaxer plus a dose of acetaminophen does wonders. I love cornbread with chili, so you are making me hungry.
