Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 73 degrees F and cloudy here at the Jersey Shore. I had the top down on my way back and now I have the windows open. Work today was nuts. It was Freaky Friday so I had a student acting as the teacher for my classes. I made a Kahoot quiz that covered everything we've done so far this year. I told my 2nd and 3rd periods that I'd give extra credit to the students with the top 3 scores. 2nd period had fun. My 3rd period was unenthusiastic but that is just how they are in general. The student teacher came in about 10 minutes in and was like "what did you do to these students? This is boring!" So after that I told him to figure out something else to do with them. He settled on charades. My 6th period participates about as much as my 3rd period ones so of course they didn't want to do that. I told them to just get out the games and I'd give extra credit if EVERYONE participated. They did. The student said "I'll be right back". He was back a few minutes later with a ball. Yup. The class wound up playing "silent ball". At that point I just gave up and was like "go with it". He started playing music (the stuff the kids like) and they all had a good time singing, dancing, and playing. My 7th and 8th period classes spent half the time on silent ball and the other half on charades. They had fun so at least there's that. I'm back at the apartment with the Cat Crew now. I have THREE hours of tutoring this afternoon. Oh well. It is $135. That covers this week's groceries. I think I'm going to bail on going out tonight though. I have 3 hours of tutoring tomorrow morning so I don't want to be out until midnight or even later and then have to get up at 8. When the tutoring is done I will get going on dinner. That will be pretty much the big excitement for the night. What's everyone else up to this afternoon?
