The helium balloon

As far as plastic waste is concerned, my biggest bugbear has to be the helium balloon. Not only is it full of gas, but the balloon itself isn’t biodegradable, and the harm it can cause to wildlife and horses/livestock doesn’t bare thinking about.
I don’t like the humble helium balloon. Released into the atmosphere never to be seen again - or so we think. At some point it will fall to Earth and pollute our planet. There is a reasonable chance it will end up in the ocean, but it could also end up being consumed by an inquisitive horse, or a small animal may suffocate from getting tied up in its cord.
What do you think of the impact on our planet as far as the helium balloon is concerned?

That isn't something I ever contemplated honestly. I guess they should all be disposed of properly
