We all have our own individual likes and dislikes, extraordinary ideas on what's cool, and even odd to strange senses of humor. When it comes to decor we go from minimalism to extravagance. What is the weirdest thing you've seen in someone else's home? One listed in the article I read on the subject was a taxidermied squirrel scene with a baseball team, a nativity scene, and a jazz band. And, what about a statue of the Grim Reaper used as a coat stand? This reminds me of Ann Margaret's character in "Gumpier Old Men" where she is making an old television chassis into a still-life display. It makes one wonder what oddities may lay behind someone's closed doors. So what is the oddest decor, display, or self-expression you've seen in someone's home? The picture is from Pinterest.com

We haven't seen anything too bizarre - at least, not that I can remember.

Taxidermy, thats just how country folk live. We had a door bell in the Marines at Marine Barracks. Supposed to be a big no no because Marines big on discipline. The barracks inspectors found it so funny they let us keep it for a while. Then one day my two roommates and I get a memo from battalion commander saying we need to take it down because base 4 star general coming by and he is a old war dog. We not taking any chances. It sounded much more professional than that, but funny at the same time.

I can understand that. Funny to have a doorbell at a military barracks.

I once lived in a house that I was so glad to escape from. The most bizarre was the crazy amount of cats this woman had and she let them do their business all over the place..a real sick hoarder. I call that bizarre even though it is really a sickness.

Nothing is coming to mind, that I've seen lately But I remember in the 70s, it was common to use an old tv cabinet for various displays. I saw several of bridal bouquets.
